"....the fishing was superb! The big

lake produced salmon and lake trout, and we caught brook trout

in all the remote ponds. In one evening of flyfishing, we caught

and released 40 to 50 brookies, all deep bright fish with many running up to one and a half pounds. Some

of  the best fishing of my life!

Our sincere thanks for a great

week at Nahmakanta...!"

Our trip to Nahmakanta this spring was exceptional !  We had a blast with these fat strong trout !

Between the 4 of us, we caught and released over 120 trout, 10 to 18 inches. We caught trout

on every water we fished. It doesn't get much better than that in the state of Maine...!

We use 14' Lund boats and 8HP Honda 4 stroke motors for trolling on Nahmakanta Lake.

Except for our lakefront cabins, the Nahmakanta shoreline is completely wild, with enormous granite boulders and natural sand beaches. With no public boat launch, our fishing guests usually have this spectacular, 4 mile long lake all to themselves !

Below are photos of Lake Trout  and Salmon caught right out in front of camp.
